Grandma has finally let me have a look in her attic - and look what I found.......... this bid is for a NEW IN BOX hardwood nut cracker - the WISE CRACKER. This was manufactured and distributed by Wise Cracker. Inc. from Leonard, Texas under Patent #4,944,219. The box tells us that the cracker is solid hardwood with urethyane retainers and that the material and workmanship are guaranteed for life. The "Wise Cracker" requires less effort than conventional nutcrackers and allows you to shell large quantities of nuts quickly, safely and with less fatigue! The easy action cracks the nut, leaving the meat intact. It is handcrafted in the U.S.A. and boasts that it's simple, safe and easy to use. The box also gives a recipe for fresh pecan pie. It is designed to crack pecans (exceptionally well), Brazil nuts, hazel nuts and English walnuts.
