I would guess middle 19 th century maybe older. Took two craftsman one carpenter and one blacksmith. Don,t get any more primitive than this. Still works great,Can clamp anything even window or picture frames would be asset in any cabin makers shop.even the bolts and nuts are hand made no returns on this .
