Vintage World Engines Blue Max Transmitter, Receivers andServos Here we have a working, fairly rare World Engines (Controlaire) Blue Max Six Channel PPM Transmitter (with battery), two receivers, a lot of servos, receiver battery, battery charger, and some other stuff. This equipment operates in the 27 MHz (still legal) band. Also included is an extra transmitter crystal because the receivers work on two different channels. One of the receivers works fairly well but exactly how well needs to be determined. The other has very short range. I believe all this equipment was from about 1970, or maybe a little later in the 70s. BLUE-MAX TRANSMITTER I installed new NiCd cells into the original battery pack so that I could test it. They are included. This transmitter uses 10 cells rather than the more typical 8 cells. A standard modern Futaba type charge port has been added to the bottom of the transmitter case. A vintage Futaba charger with cables for charging both the transmitter and receiver battery, below, is included.. It has a crystal socket inside so that the crystals can easily be changed to switch channels. I’m including crystals for 27.045 MHz and 27.145 MHz, which match the two receivers described below.
