World War 1 Grenadier Guards Sweetheart Pincushion in good antique conditionThis cushion measures approx 20cm in width and is decorated with beading, mottos and the regiment badge. These pincushions were made during World War 1, mainly by wounded soldiers during their recuperation in hospital. They were sent to wives, mothers or loved ones as a token of affection and now serve as a poignant reminder of the men who served during the 'Great War'.As handcrafted works of art each pincushion carries it's own story and are to be make treasured as part of any collection of World War 1 memorabilia.
