VINTAGE WWII (41-45) U.S. ARMY ISSUE WOODEN FOOT LOCKER CHEST TRUNK CRATEThis piece of collectable militaria is a vintage, WWII U. S. Army wooden foot locker or trunk. The chest measures ~ 32" W x 16" L x 13" H and weighs 20 lbs. The trunk maintains its original drab U. S. Army green finish and it has the name of the WW II U.S. Army soldier to which it was issued in white, block letters on its front (see images). The exterior is also marked with several transport labels (see images). The front of the chest also features its original steel staple but the swing hasp is missing (see images). The lid of the foot locker is attached with three steel bracket hinges that swing open and close. Each side of the foot locker's exterior has a securely fastened 7" L x 1 1 1/2" W wood handle for easy transport. The bottom and sides of the foot locker are solid and securely attached with steel brackets. secured with steel brackets to the sides (see images). The interior of the locker is in good condition and also has its original green finish but it does have grime, a few scuffs, chips and scratches and the original, removable inset tray is not present (see images). This authentic, WW II U.S. Army foot locker is completely original and not cleaned or restored. Generally, it is in good condition. The exterior green finish has a rich untouched patina
