Very cool and hard to find Esso War Map II featuring the The World Island Fortress Europe with lithographed B-25s on the front. Produced by Esso Marketers, the producers of Esso Road Maps, for their service stations as give-aways. Fantastic depiction of B-25 Mitchells Flying Fortresses on the front dropping bombs on enemy targets. Great lithos inside and out on this vintage, WWII map. Complete map with some minor tearing and soiling/foxing. This map is fantastic and depicts the war effort in Europe. Would look GREAT matted and framed as a poster. The World Island map depicts all of Europe and the Eastern block(s) and shows, RRs, roads, steamship distances, prominent peaks, largest cities, capitols, etc. The second map depicts the geography of global warfare and provides descriptions of boundary changes, etc. This is a great map in good condition that would be a wonderful addition to your WWII World War II, petroliana or map collection.
