Ok so here we have a Yamaha G100 guitar amp head. Made in Japan. I can throw a couple of footswitches in for good measure if you like (it seems to work with any basic standard on-off footswitches). You will see on online forums that these are very revered by Jazz guitarists for the warm natural tones and stuff. If you are a Jazz guitarist then read the forums for info. I think the Jazz guitarist particularly like the cleans of this amp. I`m not a Jazz guitarist so here`s how i see it: This thing is absolutely savage! Loud as hell! If however you want rock n roll, ska, indie, blues or punk then this thing can do it very well. There is loads of scope for brightness and blues crunch which i think this thing excels at; further enhanced by its parametric EQ on the highs. For this reason it would probably also make a great acoustic guitar amp, semi-acoustic rock n roll, and would also do ska punk great too. It has a very natural sound which would be suitable for retro 50s/60s/70s type stuff and can be further worked on with vintage Tremelo, Spring Reverb and Distortion (Crunch). If you read more
