Wonderful early yellow ware bowl. 9" across the top 4 1/2 " high, 4 " across the bottom. No chips or cracks. Three small potters blisters in the interior bottom which is normal and 3 glazing marks on the bottom exterior which is consistant with the manufacture and age of this bowl. None of these things detracts from the overall condition. Bowl is crazed although it does not effect the integrity of the glaze which is very shiny for the age. Banding on the upper rim is hand slipped and in pretty tones of brown and cream. 4 stripes total. This is a great piece for a collector or just as an addition to any country kitchen. Look for more special Americana listings this week. I will be adding some firkins, pillows and other fun country home collections!! *Please email me with questions before you bid.
