Vintage"Yogi Bear"String Holder(Chalk Ware - Hanna-Barbera Productions)We just unpacked this wonderful string holder. This very collectible "Yogi Bear" String Holder measures 8 1/2" high and is made of chalk. Its paint is original and it is in very good condition - having no chips or cracks. But remember this is chalk ware and it does show slight crazing due to age. Also this being chalk ware there are imperfections that are characteristic of items that are made of chalk. It still has its original wire hanger on the back for hanging on the wall. There is a place in the back for a ball of twine. The string comes out of Yogi's mouth (see the additional photos).This was one of four in a series (see the additional photos).This fantastic advertising string holder belonged to my late aunt who got me started collecting many years ago. We are just now unpacking much of what she had collected over the last 30 to 70 years. It had hung in a smoke free home for years and then packed away.
