This is a Vintage Tri-Color Lucite Necklace signed by Yves Saint Laurent. The pendant part is unique with three geometric pieces of brown, blue and red lucite pieces. The brown, blue and red lucite pieces are solid (although the brown is just a bit translucent around the edges and you can see some of the chain threaded through it). I am assuming the three geometric pieces are lucite since it did not pass the bakelite test and do not have the bakelite smell. Between the three lucite pieces are nice matted silver tone metal bars. The pendant hangs from a twisted navy blue cloth rope like cord with tassles hanging from either end. The pendant is stamped "YSL" (for Yves Saint Laurent) on the back of the first top silver color matted metal bar. Although I am not a complete expert on Yves Saint Laurent, I would say that the pendant necklace is in pretty good vintage condition. The rope like cord has some to minor fading, and some minor fraying. But even though the rope like cord has some minor flaws, still overall nice and still very wearable (navy blue color still pretty strong). The lucite pieces in the pendant part are threaded together by a thin chain. The thin chains have worn down some of the threading holes to create small crevices in each lucite piece. But these crevices are pretty much hidden by the silver tone matted metal bars. Overall very nice and interesting. The pendant itself measures about 4" high including bail by 2 1/8" wide. The twisted navy blue cloth rope like cord measures 40" long when opened and untied not including the tassles. You can adjust the length of the cord by tying a knot in the back to whatever size you want. I am not sure exactly how old this necklace is - maybe from the 80's? Some of the lights and reflections that you see are just in the photo and not on the necklace itself. Photos may not show all the flaws mentioned.
