DESCRIPTION Up for bid we have a VINTAGE STAINLESS STEEL HANDCUFF STYLE GALE FINGER OR THUMBCUFF. This unusual and rare one of a kind item is not normally found on eBay. They are usually in museums as they date back to about 1936 and such evil devices are no longer used. Most people do not realize what they are. The come-along grips a finger or thumb instead of the wrist. The ratchet shackle closes down on a single finger and the officer or guard would escort the prisoner with the other end looped over his three fingers. Turning it slightly could easily break the other persons finger. It has a button next the GFC trade mark that slides sideways to release the shackle. This one has a spot of surface rust but it works fine. This would make an interesting item for your handcuff collection.
