An old brown thick lustre glass beer bottle embossed "LYON & SONS BREWING CO. NEWARK, N.J. REGISTERED" on one side. I do not know the exact age of this bottle, but this company started in 1864. This bottle measures approx. 9 1/4" height and just over 2 1/4" width. It has seams on the sides. T are many scrapes to the finish, probably not unusual for a bottle this age with this type of finish. It has a look similar to carnival glass, but is probably older than that era.
