Beautiful and rare midcentury modern earrings signed Cantini! The earrings are bowl shaped - they are each about 3/4" diameter x 1/8" deep due to the concave shape. They are enamel on copper metal with screw on style back fastenings. The design is possibly a flower blossom, with a combination of gorgeous colors - blue, pale green, orange, red and white, to name a few. The earrings are signed "Cantini" in gold on the undersides. The earrings were made by famed Pittsburgh artist Virgil Cantini or his wife Lucille Kleber Cantini, an artist who specialized in enamel jewelry in the modernist style. These incredible earrings each weigh .2 oz. I believe that they are from the 1960s. Truly lovely!
