Virgil Ross - Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, and Bugs Bunny Drawing Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996) was a long-time Warner Brothers animator who worked in the Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, and Friz Freleng Units. He animated on three Looney Tunes shorts that received Academy Award nominations -- Tweety Pie, Birds Anonymous and the only cartoon that Bugs Bunny won an Academy Award for, Knighty Knight Bugs. He was given the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988. Mr. Ross began making personal appearances at Warner Brothers Studio Stores and animation galleries to promote his line of limited edition cels. While there would sell drawings like this featuring classic Warner Brothers characters. This drawing of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Elmer Fudd, inspired by the 1952 Chuck Jones-directed short, Rabbit Seasoning.
