This is the VM VOICE OF MUSIC Model 562 table top phonograph. This has the rubber feet for table top, not the legs option. The finish on the wood cabinet is Black Lacquer (I think it's lacquer). The finish is in very nice condition with a bit of age and a few light spots on the top in one area, but very nice overall. The speaker grill is excellent. The red light lights up under the VM logo in the front. The unit powers up and the mechanics seem to work...all four speeds work...16, 33, 45, 78. The reject mechanism lowers a record and the arm moves to position on the record (33 speed tested). I did not test the included 45 spindle. The amp just humms, so it needs some work...maybe just a tube...I'm not expert. T is a cartridge and needle, but working condition unknown. T are a few marks on the metal turntable, but again, very nice overall especially considering it is nearly 50 years old. The tuning knobs could use a good cleaning. I believe this model dates from 1957 or so. If you are a VM collector this is a very nice piece to add to your collection...cosmetic condition is really very nice and I think the audio side will be an easy fix. Please view the pictures carefully as I have tried to highlight the nice presentation this piece makes. T are no signs of abuse.
