These two books were owned by Edwards Matthew Quigley Senior, who was a cadet at VMI in 1917 who graduated in 1919. He entered the Field Artillery School at "Camp Knox", Kentucky (Fort Knox), where he probably learned more about the horse cavalry than guns. Remember, we still liked horses better than trucks at this point and tanks still were unproven. A nice photo of him is on page 91, and I've shown the handsome devil on my photo #3. I will include the obit of his son in Orlando in 2011, who was a Lieutenant Colonel in Vietnam, but I have not run the military history of E M Quigley Senior...that's something the new owner can do. Both books are clean on the inside and in good condition; the exteriors are getting a bit tatty. The VMI yearbook spine is missing some material on the edges, but both books are still tight in the binding. These are being sold as is with no return. Bidding starts at a low $39.00 for the pair with no reserve. Please contact me if you have any questions before you bid! I will ship these books to you Priority Mail within the USA for a flat rate of $12.00, or via snail mail book rate for $6.00. Please note that I must charge 6.5% if you are a Florida resident. Paypal only, please. Thanks for looking!
