Vintage Ideal Posin' Cricket Doll ~ Beautiful Grow Hair Sears Exclusive! Marked on the back of her neck (C) 1970, IDEAL CORPS., CR-15-H-177, HONG KONG Marked on the top of her back (C) 1971, IDEAL TOY CORP., MG-15, U.S.PAT.3,162,976, OTHER PAT. PEND., HONG KONG P Marked at the top of her butt (C) 1971, IDEAL TOY CORP., MG-15, HONG KONG P Bid on this cute Posin' Cricket doll in "played-with" condition. Needs light cleaning. Has the usual surface scuffing associated with age and play. The grow hair mechanism works. She's a Sears Exclusive! She's about 15-1/2" tall with beautiful, shiny, soft light copper red hair. As shown in the photos the ponytail goes to the back of her knees and curls at the end. It's a little dry on the end. Not bad. With the working grow hair mechanism and flower button in the back, her hair will go long or short. (See photos.) The base hair is thick and full, albeit a little choppy. Typical Ideal factory work. Needs a style. Overall, her body color is pretty peach with vinyl head and arms, and hollow plastic torso and legs. The vinyl of the head and arms is just slightly lighter than the rest. Her face has beautiful painted-on features, all there. There's light brown eyebrows, light green eyeshadow, light greyish brown outer lashes, pretty peach blush and light pink parted lips with bright white painted teeth. She's got open-and-close brown eyes that work. Eyes look clear. Eye lids look good, with just a faint trace of white substance on the eyelids - doll mold? - which looks like it can be cleaned off. She's got attached black full upper lashes. There's a miniscule dot of color on her right cheek and a faint brown streak at her right temple, which may or may not come off with cleaning. There's a tad of shadow color around the rim of her head knob toward the back of her neck. She's got the posing waist, which pivots on her lower torso and holds a pose. As mentioned before, her torso has the older flower button. There's no cracks or splits in any seams of her torso. Her arms move in the sockets and hold a pose. They're just lightly faded toward the finger tips. (See photo.) She has all her fingers and toes. Her right leg is a little looser in the socket than the left leg. Her right leg has a small crack, about 1/8" long, at the top front hip area. (See photo.) There's a few faint dots of color on her right leg on the inside near the knee and two on the back of her calf, which may or may not come out with cleaning. (See photo.) Otherwise, nice and clean. She comes with an untagged pink dress and panties that fit her. We don't know if they're original or homemade, but they're darling! It's made of pink cotton with white flower flocking pattern throughout. The delicate white net trim is yellowed in spots, but appears intact. Dainty! There's no rips or tears or pinholes on either piece. There's a light dirty spot or stain on the front of the dress bodice, which may or may not come off with cleaning. The elastic in the panties is totally stretched out. Needs replacement. The pants won't stay up. All in all, a pretty doll to add to your collection! This doll will grow on you! Bid Now!
