Very attractive porcelain piece from Aelteste Volkstedt porcelain factory in Germany. Beautifully decorated figures of gentleman and lady seated, gentleman is reading to lady. In good condition except for gentleman's outstretched hand where unfortunately his fingers have been broken off (picture 2) The backstamp is not on the base but on the back of the piece as shown in picture 3 Not sure of exact date but backstamp suggests between 1900 and 1936
