This is a great, antique RR switch lantern - caboose lantern also used by brakeman as a signal lamp - WITH original mounting bracket which is a key part to this lantern ....There are 3 clear lens and 1 amber lens. Complete with bail, wick and kerosene/oil bucket/jug(signed Armspear), inside vent w/holes. chimey cover (see pic.8) Signed Armspear Manfg Co New York. Marked 28A on caboose hanger. Bracket has a No.964S31445. Painted black - don't know when - - but does need cleaning. Stands about 15" tall & 19" with bail up. This lantern came from an estate of a N&W employee - - he often brought home different N&W RR items. Needs knob to turn wick up/down - - otherwise, is complete and in VGC. Estate find. Great collector - display - usable lantern for pool area - - camping, grill deck. Great gift for Christmas. Buyer to cover S&H of $17.88 to the lower 48. Please look at my other vintage finds.
