Vintage early travel case, made by Shwayder Bros Inc, This is labeled Samson, precurser to Samsonite. It is square shaped, measures 18 x 18 x 10 . From the history of Samsonite, this looks to be from the 1920s to early 1930s. Very durable, leather, and well made. It is leather, all the hinges, closures, handle etc, work fine. Inside is lined with a dark fabric, it has pouches along the side; no obvious damage or rips. Normal type of wear on the outside, nothing unusual or obvious. It has a couple of old travel stickers on the outside, one is mostly worn off, the other is for Carlsbad caverns. Very nice for display! Pictured with another smaller case I will have up for auction. questions welcome. thanks!
