This root beer brown faux tortoise shell set is made from celluloid with brass trim and findings. It is molded into large sunflowers. It was made by Miriam Haskell in the early 1940's. These highly collectible pre-WWII pieces are always unsigned but easily recognized by the celluloid chains. The necklace is 17" long with a bib front of three flowers; the center is 1 5/8" in diameter, the two side flowers are 1 1/4" in diameter. It closes with a hook. The bracelet is 8" long x 1 3/4" wide and can be shortened a bit by using the closer rings. It has a very old style spring ring clasp. Other than aging of the brass, this set is in excellent vintage condition, the celluloid is great. This is an extremely hard-to-find set in the tortoise shell color with both pieces together. Carpe diem. Estate pieces. Possible book pieces. Payment is appreciated within 4 days of purchase. Thank you so much for browsing.
