This week I'm listing an exceptional group of patterns from the 1950s-1960s. Buy several & save big! Shipping is FREE for a second pattern & reduced for three or more! All my patterns are originals from the era & not reproductions! A ll have been checked closely for sew-worthiness; please read below for any issues. ABOUT THIS PATTERN: This fun group of separates , circa 1958, offers everything you'd need for a chic summer wardrobe! And it's in a larger size (bust 42) that's hard to find in vintage patterns! The playsuit/romper features a darted shirt-style bodice attached to short shorts. For a dress look, toss on the button-front skirt: There's a choice of bouffant or slim styles .It's Butterick 8581 in vintage size 40 (bust 42/waist 34/hip 44). Condition notes: Pattern is uncut and in factory folds; t he instruction sheet is complete . The envelope has some yellowing, a pencil mark on the front and a tear at the top of the back. A note on sizing: Because patterns have changed sizing systems many times overthe years (with little relationship to store-bought sizes), it's best to use theBUST number first and then the HIP number. The SIZE number is mostly useful(in combination with style number) as a way to date the year the pattern was made. This is from another group of my must-have vintage sewing patterns fromVogue, McCall's, read more
