This beautiful and EXTREMELY RARE Amourelle necklace and earrings set was created by Frank Hess, of Miriam Haskell fame, during his collaboration with Kramer of New York. This particular set is in such pristine condition that it is a rare find indeed. Amourelle jewelry never appears like "production" jewelry but much more artisan like- as though each piece were the only piece. Amourelle captures your heart and soul. There is no wear to the set at all, nor oxidation. There are very few Amourelle pieces to be found, as the partnership only lasted a few years in the early 1960's. The resemblance to the designs he did for Haskell is marked, and certainly can be seen in this set. As was the case while he was with Haskell, Hess's designs for Amourelle often included a lot of hand wiring, use of art glass and Russian gold gilt and metal filigree. This rare set has all these classic Hess/Amourelle characteristics and is a true treasure. This gorgeous set is not for the faint of heart. Breathtakingly beautiful. The beautiful Asian design of the pendant features Russian gold gilt embossed metal of leaves and flowers with molded green jade glass and Baroque pearls. A single large baroque pearl is adorned by attached wired Russian Gold gilt flowers and foilage that share the spotlight. Strategically set single wired chaton rhinestones complement read more
