Offered here for your bidding consideration is this big lot of vintage and antique, mostly rhinestone costume jewelry, including pins, earrings, a bracelet, a necklace and pendants, and a ring! They range in size, age, materials and styles, and I know you will find some very interesting examples here. There are 61 pieces altogether, including nine signed pieces! The first picture shows the group en masse, looking like a sparkling treasure trove. In the second picture I have spread them out so you can get a grasp of the group in its entirety. The third and fourth pictures showcase a group of cool colored gems--those in the blue and green color families. All of the pieces in this group are prong set, though a small blue bouquet pin has some stones set without prongs in the central flower. Three of these pins are signed: The pale blue tri-cornered pin is signed Kramer, The dark green and clear rhinestone pin is a Coro, and the large, 3" tall blue flower bouquet is marked MADE IN AUSTRIA. Please note, in the picture this Austrian pin is without one of its square cut stones, but I have found it and will set it back in! There are two matching light blue scatter pins in the lot. There are twelve sparkly white brooches shown front and back in pictures five and six. Of these, 8 are prong set, and 4 are glued in but styled to look as though prongs hold the stones in. Note the cool 'S" initial pin! The metal on this one has age darkened to a black color. One of the older wreath shaped pins shows some green patina from corrosion on the back. The pin with the teardrop shaped faux pearl measures 2 1/2" long and is signed AUSTRIA. The smallest piece shown is a button with glued in stones. Only one pin has some missing and discolored stones, and this is the antique bar pin, measuring 2 1/2" wide. This is a really showy bunch! In pictures seven and eight there are five pins and two pendants. This group features some of the oldest and the newest in the bunch, with both prong set, but mostly glued in stones. The large green and pink prong set pin is signed REGENCY. The puffy white burst of tiny flowers is missing at least six of its little rhinestones, which are easy enough to replace. There are two antique pendant pieces here that are quite interesting. Both are missing their dramatic center stones, which will be a bit harder to replace, though I noted a plethora of single stones being offered on eBay. They have intricate details and include enameled flowers and cabochons in addition to cut stones. One has a single loop for hanging, and the other is meant to hang horizontally with two hanging loops. This last one is marked MADE IN CZECHOSLOV. There are eight miscellaneous pieces shown in photos 9 and 10. Again, some very old like the cameo glass locket and the Victorian type hand pin (4" long), and some much newer like the sparkly butterfly and horse pins. These pieces run the gamut in style, age and type. Note the little old brooch with five blown glass birdies and berries, the jelly-belly type cockatiel pin. The pin with the faux pearls is missing three of the pearls. The brass locket still retains its tiny acetate windows. A fun little bunch! Picture number 11 shows eight pairs of earrings--one with a matching necklace. (For purposes of a count on this lot, I am counting a pair of earrings as 2 pieces of jewelry. So, there are 17 pieces of jewelry in this picture.) Only two pairs of the earrings are for pierced ears--the large 1 3/4" mod hoop dangles, and the flower power daisies. These two are newer than the other pieces. There are three earrings with hinged clips in the backs and three that are screw backs. One pair of the clip-on is signed TRIFARI and that is the pair with a clear tear shaped drop (missing one stone). This group has both prong and channel set stones, with a couple of pieces having glued in stones. The graduated crystal necklace with aurora borealis finish has matching earrings (marked LAGUNA), and the necklace can adjust from 18" to 20" in length. It is weighty and quit... read more
