VTG. ANTIQUE scallop sewing trim, VICTORIAN edging!! Wow! These trims and edgings are amazing, and are from a time when every article of clothing had an elegant and tasteful trim or decoration. Beautiful--and what a time-saver these edgings must have been, saving the lady of the house long hours of making their own scalloped trims! There are 3 packages of unused, unopened edging, and each one contains 3 yards. Two of the packages are "SCALLOPING ON THE BIAS", and the third one is "Nufashond" (clever, huh?). Each package is of a scalloped style edging designed to peek out from below the fabric edge. There is a pink, a blue/grey, and a peach color. On the back of the back of the "Nufashond" package they talk about their other products, such as Corset lacers and Middy Lacers. Corsets predominantly ended being used around the beginning of the 1900's, so that would make these packages over 100 years old! They have vintage aging on the paper, and the parts outside of the package on the "Scalloping" brand have gotten a bit dirty. Feel free to supersize the photos for all of the details! These packages would be amazing as an addition to a sewing trims and fabrics collection or for display with an old fashioned treadle machine--or maybe they could at long last see some use as part of a restoration project!
