Beautiful Vintage Sterling Moonstone Arts & Crafts - Late 19th Century Bracelet Description Beautifully made late 19th century sterling silver moonstone bracelet. The moonstones glow a gorgeous shade of blue. The condition is excellent. The measurements are just under 7.50 inches long by 7/8 inch at its widest part. The moonstones are approximately 7mm in diameter. Its weight is 1.5 oz. Please see the hallmark information below. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. The hallmark on the back side says Sterling, A&L. The hallmark "A&L" was made by Adie & Lovekin (The firm began its business as Adie & Lovekin, Snape Street, Hockley, Birmingham around 1872). This bracelet was made approximately between 1872 to 1889 since "A&L" was the hallmark used during this time. After 1889 the Adie & Lovekin hallmark became A&L, Ltd. The company manufactured a wide range of silver fancy goods at the end of the 19th century and had a factory in Regent Street, Hockley, Birmingham. In 1894 they commissioned Mansell & Mansell to design a new factory at 23, Frederick Street, Birmingham which became known as "Trafalgar Works". The firm entered various hallmarks at Birmingham Assay Office (1879, 1902, 1906) and Chester Assay Office (1883, 1909).
