Hello...and Welcome to this Auction! Here is a lot of two blue glass Mason canning Jars. Half Gallon Size Both are the Sloping Shoulders. The oldest one is quite interesting...It has embossed on it MASON'S PATENT NOV 30TH 1858 & on the bottom is embossed: PAT Nov 26 67 and in the middle are the numbers #477. There is a small chip on the rim (as you can see in picture #6). Does have a few small air bubbles in the glass, and could use a better cleaning. But in good condition other than that chip! The second one (embossed Ball Mason) is so cool with its large air bubble BUT it does have issues. There is a deep scratch running along the bottom of jar....about 6 3/4". This can be felt with fingernail (see picuture #9). This scratch is only felt on the outside and not on inside when checked....as far as I can tell. Also, a very light surface scratch on the lower back, about 6" or so. Has been tested and does hold water. The top rim is smooth. This jar has lots of aged air bubbles, and that is why I offer it.
