"British Overseas Airways Corporation ( BOAC ) was the British state-owned airline created in 1939 by the merger of Imperial Airways and British Airways Ltd." BOAC became British Airways in 1974. These dishes made by Ridgways- UK pottery. Not sure the purpose? Maybe first class underplate for small salt & pepper shakers? They measure 3 1/8" long x 1.75" wide. Excellent condition.
