This knife is in good condition, with some wear. Please study the pictures for signs of use/wear. Where the bone handle is attached at the very base, some of the putty (?) seems tobe missing. I have tried to capture this with my camera, but I don't think it shows up well. This is the only real damage/wear that I am seeing, but I am not a collector. The knife is marked, "Cattaraugus 225Q", and is 12 1/2".The sheath shows more signs of wear, and may not be original to the knife. There are nomaker's marks. Please email questions and requests for additional pictures prior to placing a bid.Thankyou! PLEASE NOTE:I have been informed that the blade and the handle, though both old, are not original to each other, but a very well executed marriage. 225Q This knife was Cattaraugus' most produced knife during the second world war. It is a 10 3/8" fixed blade knife that collectors refer to as a Commando or WWII fighting knife. They have leather washer handles and a high carbon steel blade. The above information was gathered from the internet.
