Low opening bid does not reflect the value. This is for one vintage silver waved label 2 FL OZ FULL to the top cobalt blue bottle Bourjois Evening in Paris. 1940's Screw top lid. This is one of the most celebrated fragrances throughout the world GI's in WII used to give this to their girlfriends. This smells fantastic. One whiff and it will bring you back to wartime, soldiers, dance halls. Evening in Paris , also known as Soir de Paris by Bourjois, debuted in 1926 and was an instant hit. These were sold in dime stores for 25 cents and in upscale department stores. A lovely full Evening in Paris cologne in the traditional cobalt blue bottle. I was living in Italy in the early 1990's and my little sister then 19 years old came to visit for a Summer and made a decision to stay in Venice, Italy that changed the course of her life forever. When she passed away in Venice after living there for over 30 years in 2005 I had all of her things shipped back to me. This perfume bottle was one of many in her collection. Her mother in law in Venice passed away and Juli came into possession of all of her mother in law's perfumes which started a collection that spanned 30 years. I thought I had found and sold all of the perfumes and this week when I was going thru some of the trunks I found a smaller trunk and inside these were carefully wrapped in paper....about 28 of them I am going to list these one at a time. I do know that she stored her collection in a linen closet and for the last five years we have kept the storage units climate controlled and dark which explains why the scents still smell really nice in the bottles I have unearthed.
