Vintage Bible FAMILY tree SAYERS, ROSS Wythe VA 1700's 1800's The title page is long gone, so I don't know what year this was printed. The cover boards look pretty dark, but you can see the HOLY BIBLE on the spine. There's a piece of paper on the front board inside, Mrs W.S. Sayers, Wytheville, Virginia. It looks like the pages start with page 15 (or what's left of that page). There's two newspaper obits: Death of Miss Anne Sayers, and William W. Reynolds of Texas. The family tree / genealogy entries start after page 112. The pencil writing at the bottom states who the Bible was from and who it was given to. The first marriage is Robert Sayers and Senah Ross, Aug the 31, 1824. He was born in Wythe County, Aug the 7, 1796. Senah Ross was born in Wythe County October the 12, 1804. Then there are births of their children etc., and deaths. There is a a Family Record, perhaps from another smaller Bible of the family of William Ross who was born in Amherst county Va 1756, Rachel his wife was born in Culpeper county, March 3d 1763 (no surname for her). For the Ross family, it only has marriages, e.g. Kisiah Ross & John Calfee Nov th 2, 1796; Euphemia M. Ross & Thomas Graham September 20th 1821; and marriages of their siblings.
