Vintage Quilt Blocks This auction is a lot of 61 very old Quilt Blocks. Plus an adorable pink and blue little donkey quilt piece. One of the squares has several pieces with the little donkey. All blocks are made from old cotton flour/feed sacks. Some are believed to be from about 1910 up to 1940’s and maybe some in the 1950’s. Beautiful vintage colors in many colors, shades and patterns. Small print patterns. Animals. See photos of little donkey in pink and blue. So cute. Windmills. Old timey lanterns. They are orange!! Lots of different floral prints. Plaids. Purple. Greens. Blues. Reds. Yellows. Browns. Blacks. Pinks! Most are all handpieced. Some are pieced on a sewing machine. There are several different pattern. Great for a Sampler quilt. Most of the blocks are very close to the same size. Lots of pieces in each block. Most of the blocks are 6 ½ inch squares. Only a few other are just a little smaller in size. All these pieces were purchased together. So I think they were intended to go together. Beautifully coordinated colors. All blocks are clean and have no odors. Blocks are old and there are a few age and handling marks. But not many! Good bright colors. Minimal fading if any at all. Some may vary in brightness due to age but most are great! I don’t think there are any rips or holes. No thinning. No rotting.
