6 VTG Fontanille & Marraud Limoges Cherubs,Signed.Porcelain Handpainted Cherubs These are two frames with 6 original French Fontanille & Marraud limoges handpainted cherubs from around 1930. Each frame has three plaques and they are all different. The putti cherubs are very adorable, well painted in relief, excellent colors and each plaque has a gold decorated frame. These framed plaques are on a peach/pink velvet fabric and fastened to a board in the back. I think the framing was done in the 50's. I had to open up the torn brown paper in the back from one of them to get to the backside of the plaques. The back of the plaques were signed with:Fontanille & Marraud.Porcelain Artistique. F.M Limoges France.Label de Qualite'. Each plaque is 3 1/2" in diameter and the gold painted outside frames are 18 1/2" x 7". The plaques and frames are in very good condition.(except brown paper in the back) The outer frame has some paint-loss in one corner. No chips on the porcelain plaques. This is rather unusual to find 6 F & M handpainted Limoges cherub plaques. Thank you for watching my auction.
