VTG GABER REPTILE LEATHER PURSE KELLY ALLIGATOR/CROC Note some of the pictures may have been lightened for you to get a better idea of the lines of the garment . Up for grabs! Maker: GABER~! Vintage I am making a semi-educated guess that this is from the 50's although it could be older...I researched and researched the style bag which appears to be more in line with the 40's and it could be 40's rather than 50's but the Gaber name I can find as far back as the 50's. Materials: So says the tag- Genuine reptile leather...looks like Alligator or Croc to me. Style: Kelly style bag, has interior zipper pocket with metal zipper and a open pocket behind that. Condition: Considering how old it is its in good condition. Following guidelines on the net. I did lightly clean the leather with leather cleaner/conditioner. I lightly sprayed the nylon interior with a odor remover as it smelled on inside pretty bad like cigarettes. Seems to have worked. T is wear along the edges and on the strap see pics. The Gold frame could use a buffing and the gold has come off in a few areas. The material on the inside of the handle has come loose in about a two inch section this would be the spot w your hand will be touching it constantly as your carrrying it.
