This was my Dad's, and it looked darling hung in our old-fashioned kitchen! I cannot tell you the letters in the raised Monogram, but the center letter must be a "M" or a "W". Handle (push with your thumb) works great. In the old days, when folks had ice boxes instead of fridges, they had to buy ice blocks from the man on the ice truck. They would break off pieces with an ice pick, and they could scrape that piece with the teeth of an ice scraper tool. The iron bowl would fill with shavings of ice, which they could put into their drink. Measures 7-1/2" long x 2" tall. The cup (lid) measures 3-1/4" across (diameter). Very substantial ~ weighs 1 pound. Other than some mild surface rust, condition is VERY GOOD VINTAGE. A charming find for Collectors of unusual, historical old tools.
