The Piece exemplifies the Clean Lines that came into vogue in the 1950s and which remain as popular - if not More Popular today! The Chest is a Perfect Sized and is Narrow Enough to Fit into the Smallest of Bedrooms, Guest Rooms or Living Rooms! Use it as a Plasma TV Stand and use the bottom to store Blue-Ray Discs and Movies! The Style is Absolutely Classic Mid-Century Modern which dates to around the 1950s and is even More Popular Today! The Top, Sides and and Front of the Cabinet are in the Handsomest Teak. The Cabinet has the Original Gold & Red Metal Maker's Label - Tag inside reads "G PLAN" as was made by the E. Gomme Company in the 1950s! E. Gomme & Co. Ltd was a English Maker of fine furniture located in High Wycombe. In 1953, Donald Gomme, the designer at E Gomme, decided to produce a range of modern furniture for the entire house which could be bought piece by piece according to budgets. Advertising was part of the plan from the beginning. The name G Plan was coined by Doris Gundry of the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency, and the furniture was advertised in magazines and in cinemas direct to the public. Designs were available for several years so people could collect them slowly. All furniture was marked with the distinctive brand mark. The success of G-Plan led to E Gomme becoming one of the UK's largest furniture manufacturers, with profits increasing sixfold between 1952 and 1958 when it was floated. The Generous Interior Storage area measures a Generous 30 and 3/4 inches in Width, 15 and 1/2 inches in Height by 18 and 1/2 inches in Width at the Bottom Shelf while the Floating Half Shelf above measures 10 and 1/4 inches from Front-to-Back and the Shelf is Adjustable from 7 Inches from the Bottom to as High as 9 inches in Height from the Bottom .
