Vintage needlepoint Angel ornament red velvet gold chord - assume handmade, possibly Bucilla ? - age unknown. Would be beautiful on a Christmas tree, or in an angel collection. This is an extremely nicely done needlepoint angel Christmas ornament with deep red velvet or velveteen backing and thick golden cord edging. The thick golden cord also serves as the hanger for the piece. When I see needlepoint ornaments I always think Bucilla, but I do not know for certain. It is stuffed, so it has some volume to it. It is like a tiny pillow ornament. There is not a tag, but one would not expect a tag on a handmade ornament. This was purchased years ago at a Christmas flea market sale. I know it is vintage, but exact year unknown. Size: approx. height is 5 1/2 inches. Approx width at the widest point is 3 inches. The chord adds another 3 1/2 inches. It is stuffed like a pillow and the approx 2 to 3 inches thick. . Condition: the needlepoint is lovely, the back fabric is lovely, as well as the thick golden cord. It appears clean and well made, but it has been stored in a smoking household with a shedding dog. You may want to clean it for those reasons.
