Founded in 1886, Upsala-Ekeby had a long and proud history, their claim of fame was their artisan-based design during the 1950's -70's. The Karlskrona porcelian factory was founded in 1918, production became part of Upsala-Ekeby in 1942 until it's closure in 1968. Also sadly under the weight of expansion, the Upsala-Ekeby closed down it's activities in 1978. Nonetheless, many of it's designs from the 1950's and 60's are among the finest Scandinavian design. This set offered is in superb condition and would make a valued addition to any collection. Please look at other auctions for other Scandinavian pieces.
