Pentti Sarpaneva (1925 – 1978) – finnish graphicdesigner, played with bronze and silver, often warming it up with local natural stones – amethyst,amethyst quartz, rose and smoke quartz, spectrolite, agate, tiger eye . Again, the memories of a shamanistic, blacksmith grandfather must have influenced the textures achieved in the metal. Pentti's work evokes fiery metal, melting icicles, flowing volcanic lava or raised tree bark. This necklace is PUNOS , ( " Twine, Braid, Plait " I do not know the english word for punos ) series. Amazing necklace with beautiful, big spectrolite stone ! Size: Diameter 4 cm, ( diameter of the spectrolite stone 2.3 cm ), chain 61 cm. Hallmarks: Not very easy to recognize.But: makers mark ( = Turun Hopea ), crown in heart, 830 ( = silver ), S ? Condition: Used, excellent condition ! CONDITION RATINGS : MINT – New one, in the same condition as when it left the store. Very few vintage and antique items can claim this NEAR MINT – No problems, as close to “new” as possible for age. EXCELLENT – Shows normal wear expected for age, but nothing easily visible VERY GOOD – Shows normal wear expected for age with some minor problems visible , but problems will not detract GOOD - Has some definite visual problems.
