RARE!!! One of a kind!!! Very Vintage Pin Entwined Hearts with Crown on top and Large Citrine Stone centered w/ 2 Angels, Fairies, or Cupids. Stone is 9mm in diameter, Pin is just under 2 1/2" long. Stamped: Scotland Silver (tested silver also, all parts) Hallmarked: C. A ??? or G. A ?????? See pictures. I can't be sure of the letters in the Hallmark, but it looks more like C. A I am also not sure if the pin on the back is missing the closing clasp piece on the clasp. It seems to stay in place when closed. I picked this up at an estate and have done much research and can not find anything of the sort. I have also talked to people who have advised to a degree. Any additional expertise is appreciated. In Scotland the entwined hearts with crown is a "Luckenbooth" which is a traditional Scottish wedding brooch given to the bride by the groom on their wedding day. Subsequently, it is then pinned to the first baby's shawl to protect it from evil spirits. The earliest records of heart shaped brooches, in Scotland, date back to 1503.
