~ Description ~ Recent estate find is this beautiful vintage Toriart Anri hand carved wood shrine wall plaque. Depicts the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus (Jesus is holding on to her hair). Beautifully, intricately, hand carved. In great condition - very clean, no chips, no cracks, no repairs. Mary has gorgeous long curly brown flowing hair, has red lip, rosy cheeks, wearing a blue shawl with a gold accents, and a terra cotta dress. Baby Jesus has curly brown hair, rosy cheeks, red lips, and is wearing an off-white gown. Measures 12 3/4" high x 10 5/8" wide (at widest point) x 3" deep. The back has the blue and gold label with a cross, a star, and reads: "TORIART, ITALY".
