This was an estate find. It is a large heavy solid turquoise stone set in sterling silver. This beautiful ring was made by Barse Jewelry (1986-present). It is stamped TMA .925 and Barse on the inside. It features one large turquoise stone with slotted thick sterling silver forming the design of the band. It weighs 16 grams. The stone and bezel setting measures 3/4" x 1/2". It is in beautiful condition. Turquoise is hard enough to be considered a gemstone, but it is comparatively soft. Turquoise of this quality is hard and stable enough to be cut with no form of treatment. It is extremely rare to find turquoise of this quality in today's market. Only 1-2% of turquoise mined is in this category, and it is very expensive. See all photos for details of design and condition. This ring has not been taken to a jewelry for examination.
