HEAVENLY DAYS TEAPOT VERNON WARE This auction is for a teapot in the Anytime Shape made by Vernon Potteries of Los Angeles, California. The line was designed by Elliot House in the mid 1950s. Metlox continued the line after they bought Vernon in 1958. The decoration is "Heavenly Days", small squares and crosses in aqua blue, pink, and chocolate brown on a slightly off-white speckled background. The lid is speckled blue. The pattern is very similar to "Tickled Pink" in different colors. The underside is stamped "VernonWare U.S.A. Safe in Oven and Dishwasher". The pattern is on one side of the pot. The lid has small tabs to hold it in place while pouring; the inside ring of the pot has a notch to accommodate the tabs when opening and closing the lid. The pot measures about 9 1/2 inches from handle to spout, and about 6 1/2 inches at the widest, and about 6 1/2 inches tall with the lid in place. The pot is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or scratches. The inside is clean with no staining. Please use the "enlarge" and "zoom" features to examine the photos. The pot will weigh about 4 lbs packed and may be costly to ship depending on your distance from New York City.
