For your consideration is a lovely WWII-era Taj Mahal piano scarf or shawl on a celadon/mint background. The building colors are coral/orange, gold and cream with the central panel being a striking purple-cobalt blue. Long, luscious fringe on all sides in alternating green and coral hues. Whether tossed aback of a chair or sofa or worn as a unique accessory, these pieces are popular as they add a bit of mystique with their colors which glimmer in the light and their exotic motifs which are so in vogue in today's interior decorating trends. MEASUREMENTS: typical to genre; approx. 31.5" x 32" not including fringe; fringe measures approx. 10" on each side CONDITION: Good overall used vintage condition. Fringe is matted in some areas and I did notice one area where the fringe is missing... not really noticeable and not too big of a deal - but there. It also appears that some minor fading has occurred on one end with the green fringe... and possibly a smidge of additional fading along some side borders but as the brocade changes color in different lights, it is hard to accurately discern. But the fading on one end by the green fringe is there... but is not that big of a deal if the piece will be displayed or used. Please see photos to discern for yourself. This will ship in a bubble wrap envelope with tracking and insurance included. read more
