Sweet Restored WADE & BUTCHER STRAIGHT RAZOR. Very nice razor with custom horn scales. Blade has been c ompletely restored , very highly polished and bevel reset. This blade has some small pits on the back side of blade (see pics). T his blade is marked W R, w hich signifies it was prduced d uring King William's reign of 1830-1837. This is a very old b lade at approxi mately 180 years . Pins are tight and blade closes fine. Scales are brand new custom made in Dark Translucent HORN , i n the traditional chopper shape scales. The re is one small spot on the scales above on e of the pin s near the wed ge (see pic). They are otherwise perfect and highly polished . T he pins are original to this razor . They were c arefully removed from the old scales and cleaned up a bit prior to putting them on their new scales. Wedge is acrylic. Blade grind is a WEDGE . Blade measures at over 7/8ths at widest point. At i t's widest point the b lade m easures between 7/8ths and 15/16ths. Blade has very light hone wear and is even. Spine is 1/4th thick. Razor measures 6 3 /8 inches closed and 10 1/8 inches open. Blade stamp reads - WADE & BUTCHER & W R on front. Ba ck side is blank. Blade has been honed and is SHAVE READY! Excellent shaver!
