This porcelain figure is attached to a marble base (this was made this way by Wade). Wade made this figure based on the song âeoeSweet Molly Maloneâe. Look closely at the details on this piece âe" Molly is barefoot and has boxes by her feet âe" on 1 box is imprinted âeoeCocklesâe and 3 boxes are imprinted âeoeMusselsâe. According to Warner & Posgayâe(tm)s book âeoeThe World of Wade Figurines and Miniaturesâe this piece was made from the early 1970âe(tm)s to 1986 and is the first Molly Malone character figure made by Wade (it is the lighter color version). The bottom of the marble is imprinted on a label âeoeReal Connemara Marbleâe âeoeMade in Ireland âe.
