WAGNER WARE 1285 OVAL ROASTERVERY RARE 3 PIECE SET WITH ORIGINAL LID ITEM : This beauty is very hard to find. It has been cleaned, restored, and seasoned by one of the leading cast iron workers of the day; Show-Me Iron. The original Wagner Ware 1285 lid makes this three piece set a gem. The original Wagner 1285 lid was easily broken, and looked like this one, with the 1285 number on the indise. Later versions of the 1285 series lid were frequently used as replacements for the original lid. These markings date this piece and lid both to pre-1920. The roaster is clean with no cracks and sits solidly flat. The lid is perfect and fits tightly. There are very minor pits in the bottom inside. A very nice piece to add to your collection!
