This auction is for an unusual book in slipcase, a presentation copy of a vocal and piano score of "Parsifal-- ein Buhnenweihfestspiel von Richard Wagner, Vom Orchester fur das Klavier ubertragen von Joseph Rubinstein", Schott & Co., Germany, numbered, "23406", 1882, 261 pages. Book dimensions are approximately 13-1/2" by 11". The cover appears to be light-colored marbled leather with gold-stamped design. The entire fly-leaf (first blank page in the book) is a calligraphied dedication in German to Alfred Schoenberg at Christmas, 1918. I'll append an attempt at a translation. The book has gilt edges all around, with some small semi-circular marks on bottom edges. Else, condition overall is excellent. Successful buyer to pay Priority Mail plus insurance.
