WALLINGFORD SILVER PLATED BABY CUP This silverplated Baby Cup was made by Wallingford & is marked on the bottom with "WALLINGFORD - SILVER PLATE - 550". On front of cup is a raised (attached) Coat of Arms but we don't know what it signifies - it is a Shield divided diagonally with a Lamp on the top left & a Flaming Torch bottom right. Across the top appears to a Book with Leafs on each side & across the bottom is a Banner reading VITA SCIENTIA ANICITIS (pretty sure of the first 2 words but the last word is guessed - very difficult to read). Cup measures about 2½" across at rim (not including handle) & 2¼" tall (top of handle is 2½" from table surface). Cup is heavy, well made & in very good condition with no bends or dings - could use a little polishing. Great little collectable to add to a Vintage Silverplate, Wallingford Silver or Antique Baby Cup Collection!
