Fantasia by Deems Taylor with a foreword by Leopold Stokowski. 1940 First edition, first printing (date on title page matches published date on copyright page, no additional dates listed). The book needs restoration work to preserve it. I think the sixteen color tipped in illustrations would make wonderful framed pieces. I'll let the buyer decide that. The cover was probably grey at one time but is now yellowed cloth over boards with title and spine writing in blue. No dust jacket. Oversized book with 158 pages. Beautiful color illustratons as well as black & white text drawings and wonderfully intact and vibrant 5-inch by 6 1/2-inch tipped in color plates mounted on various pages. The tipped in plates are: Page 13: Blue and white abstract starry sky of sorts. Page 25: Magical orange and grey mushrooms with shining beads on their tops, set against an indigo background. Page 33: Yellowish-orange and neon pink dancing squid. Page 41: Purple background w orange leaves and tiny ballerinas floating on, what looks like, water. Page 49: Mickey in a red cape creeping to see who is coming down the stairs - Mickey's shadow looms large on the wall. Page 57: Mickey flying in the heavens with his scorceror's hat and red cape. Page 65: Mickey holding on to his book about to be sucked down a vortex of water. Page 73: Dancing neon outlined squid read more
